PROJECTS
SOUNDPROOF CNC ENCLOSUREAfter living in my apartment with my CNC machine for over a year, I decided it was time to invest in some proper soundproofing. Using a CNC can get pretty messy and noisy so I needed a solution to both of those problems.

ACRYLIC CYGNUSThis is an acrylic model of the Cygnus spacecraft. The spacecraft consists of a Service Module (SM) and a large cylindrical Pressurized Cargo Module (PCM) that are mated together to form a complete structure. This model of Cygnus was cut entirely from sheets of 3mm acrylic and is friction fit together with no glue.
|
ACRYLIC TESS AND ICONThese are acrylic models of the TESS and ICON spacecraft. These models are made from sheets of 3mm acrylic and fit together like puzzle pieces. No glue is required to hold the model together as all the pieces are designed to friction fit together.

BITFENIX PRODIGYThis is my desktop PC that I've upgraded and modified over the years. It's changed significantly in terms of both performance and appearance since I first built it in 2013. Some of the biggest upgrades I've made include custom sleeved cables and acrylic side panels.

CNC MACHINEThis was my first desktop CNC machine that I had ever owned. I bought it so I could expand the quality of my hobby projects and create more intricate designs This model can be purchased for anywhere between $300 - $1000 and offers a lot of capabilities you won't be able to find in a 3D printer.

ROCKET-LAUNCHING QUADCOPTERThe Rocket-Launching Quadcopter (RLQ) is a large, heavy-lift quadcopter that I designed as a mobile rocket launch platform. The RLQ is the first quadcopter to attempt a live model rocket launch while in flight. The quadcopter was designed to be over-built and very large so that it could withstand many crashes while still maintaining a high payload capacity.

3D-PRINTED MICRO H-QUADCOPTERThis was my second micro quadcopter build. I designed this frame using Autodesk Inventor and had it 3D printed using an AO-100 3D printer. The frame is based on a traditional h-quadcopter, but has a few modifications in order to improve durability. Due to it's small size, this quadcopter is ideal for aerobatics and sport flying.

FIRST PERSON VIEW GROUND STATIONFor my FPV ground station, I wanted something that I could use on both my airplanes and my multirotors. I also needed the whole setup to be small, light weight and portable - with as little setup time as possible. The total cost of this entire setup including the camera, transmitter receiver and ground station was $160 and is completely DIY.
